WAFA reported that residents confronted the colonists and forced them to leave, while Israeli occupation forces later stormed the area and provided protection to the colonists.

WAFA added that the Israeli forces prevented Civil Defense firefighting crews from reaching the scene to extinguish the fire.

In a separate report, WAFA said colonists also set fire to lands between the villages of Al-Mughayer and Abo Falah, north-east of Ramallah, and burned lands near Kafr Malik on Monday.

WAFA further stated that, in the days before, colonists had burned more than 200 meters of terrain in the Marj Si’ plain between Al-Mughayer and Abo Falah.

Arrests, raids, and mosque

The العربي الجديد reported that the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Monday evening the martyrdom of 23-year-old Mahmoud Ziyad Mahmoud al-Omleh, who succumbed to critical injuries sustained from Israeli gunfire earlier Sunday near the town of Beit Ola, north of Hebron.

The same source said Israeli forces arrested on Monday afternoon the young man Fares Mansour Abu Ghneim, nicknamed 'Abu Hussein', who hails from the village of Kafr Qil south of Nablus and resides in Nablus.
