Injuries among Palestinian prisoners following a widespread crackdown in the occupation's prisons.

The Prisoners Media Office confirmed that all prisoner sections in the occupation’s prisons were stormed and broadly repressed simultaneously last Thursday.

It said Israeli occupation forces used severe violence, stun grenades, pepper spray and batons against unarmed prisoners during the raids.

The office said a number of prisoners sustained varying injuries and were transferred to hospital as a result of the "barbaric assault" carried out simultaneously.

It described the simultaneity of the raids as evidence that the targeting was a deliberate decision to torment the prisoners during Ramadan.

The Prisoners Media Office called for urgent action to rescue them, saying, "In the face of this crime, the door is open to all humanitarian and UN institutions to take urgent action and preserve the human rights that are being violated in the occupation’s prisons."

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the coordinated stormings as "a new war crime," named Negev Desert Prison and Gilboa Prison, and said the raids reflect a systematic policy aimed at breaking the prisoners' will and tormenting them.

Hamas warned the Israeli occupation it is fully responsible for the prisoners' lives and called on Palestinians, free people of the world, and international human rights and humanitarian institutions to escalate solidarity actions and take urgent action to stop these crimes.
