Islamic Resistance Fires Rockets And Drones At Israeli Troops, Vehicles In Qantara And Yohmor Al-Shaqif

The Islamic Resistance said it carried out rocket and drone strikes on Thursday, May 28, 2026, including targeting a gathering of “Israeli” troops and vehicles in the town square of Qantara at 11:50 p.m.

In the same set of statements, the group said it targeted a Merkava tank in the village of Yohmor Al-Shaqif with appropriate weapons at 8:50 a.m., adding that it was seen burning.

ABNA also said its fighters targeted an Iron Dome system belonging to the Israeli army at the Ghabat al-Jalil base with a suicide drone at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18.

The Islamic Resistance further described operations as responses to what it called “Israel’s ceasefire violations and attacks on villages in southern Lebanon,” which it said killed and wounded civilians.

NorNews said the Islamic Resistance Operations Room described repeated failures by the Israeli army to advance toward Haddatha, including a third attempt in a week from the Ras Raf axis toward Haddatha at 20:10.

It said resistance fighters laid an ambush at the southern entrance to Haddatha in the stadium area and engaged the soldiers with medium weapons and rockets, while also stating that at 20:50 a Merkava tank attempted to advance toward the Haddatha spring and was targeted and destroyed.

NorNews also reported that Hezbollah Lebanon, in a statement, said the Islamic Resistance fighters at 12:20 today (Wednesday) targeted a Merkava tank in Beidar al-Fuq’ani located in the town of Al-Tayiba.

In parallel, Fars News Agency said it was “emphasized” that operations were carried out in response to ceasefire violations and attacks on villages in southern Lebanon, and it listed a sequence of strikes including artillery shells at 00:30 a.m. in the Al-Balou area around the Hadatha settlement.

The same Fars account added that Israeli media reported the landing of a military helicopter at Tel Hashomer Hospital, stating that the helicopter transported wounded soldiers to the hospital.
