Islamic Resistance Targets Caterpillar D9 Bulldozer and Merkava Tank in Southern Lebanon

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon said it carried out operations targeting a Caterpillar D9 bulldozer and a Merkava tank in southern Lebanon, describing them as a response to ongoing Israeli assaults and violations of a ceasefire.

In one account, the resistance said its fighters targeted a Caterpillar D9 bulldozer in the city of Bint Jbeil using an attack drone while it was demolishing houses, and it said it achieved a direct hit.

In another account, the resistance said it targeted a Merkava tank in the town of al-Qantara using an attack drone and said it achieved a confirmed hit.

The same reporting described continued tension and mutual escalation across southern Lebanon, with the resistance presenting the attacks as part of its ongoing operations against Israeli occupation sites.

The same account said Hezbollah at 17:00 targeted three Merkava tanks and a D9 bulldozer west of the Tayiba project with guided missiles, and it later said the mujahideen destroyed four Merkava tanks and a D9 bulldozer after striking an advancing armored force toward the al-Muhsibat area.

In a separate report, النهضة نيوز | West Asian said Hezbollah carried out the largest number of operations against the Israeli enemy since the start of the aggression against Lebanon, adding that Channel 15 reported Hezbollah recorded a record number of operations on Wednesday since the start of the battle—80 operations against Israel.

That report also described the resistance saying it destroyed 8 Merkava tanks by guided missiles in the town of al-Taiba, and it said fighters targeted an Israeli military helicopter as it attempted to land to evacuate casualties, forcing it to retreat.

SABA reported that the Lebanese resistance targeted a military bulldozer and a Merkava tank, a command center, and a gathering of the Israeli army’s vehicles in the southern occupied region of the country, framing the actions as defense of Lebanon and its people.

In SABA’s account, the resistance said at 08:45 its fighters targeted a D9-type military bulldozer at Khla al-Raj in the town of Deir Srian during a dive-bombing attack, and it said the operation achieved a direct hit.

SABA also said that in the town of al-Bayadah, fighters targeted a Merkava tank at 10:15 with a bomb dropped by a dive-bombing aircraft and then targeted a command center at 10:18 with a dive-bombing strike, describing both as precise hits.

The reporting added that the resistance continued its military operations in response to Israeli violations of ceasefire understandings and attacks that hit southern villages, resulting in martyrs and injuries among civilians, as part of the battle named Al-Asf Al-Ma'kul.
