Israel Kills Three In Tayr Filsayeh As Hezbollah Exchange Continues

An Israeli strike killed three people and wounded five in the southern Lebanese town of Tayr Filsayeh on Sunday, as an exchange of fire continued between Israel and Hezbollah.

The Israeli army issued evacuation warnings to residents of five towns—Sohmor (western Beqaa), Rumin, al-Qusaybeh (Nabatieh district), Kfar Huna (Jezzine district), and Banaful (Saida district)—ordering immediate evacuation and withdrawal to open areas at least 1,000 meters away.

Shafaq News also said Israeli forces struck dozens of towns without prior evacuation warnings, including Shoukin, Safad al-Battikh, Kafra, Deir Antar, Babiliyeh, Adshit, al-Bisariyeh, and Tebnine.

Since Israel widened its offensive on March 2, Lebanese health authorities recorded 2,988 killed and 9,210 wounded, while Hezbollah issued eight statements Sunday claiming operations against Israeli forces in the south.

Shafaq News added that the Israeli army disclosed 105 soldiers were wounded in fighting in southern Lebanon over the past week, and that total Israeli fatalities in Lebanon since March 2 rose to 20.

Hezbollah’s statements described a sequence of attacks in southern Lebanon, including fighters targeting an Israeli force attempting to advance toward the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif and striking an Israeli military gathering at the port of Naqoura with two attack drones.

In the same reporting, Hezbollah also claimed a confirmed hit on an Israeli artillery position in the town of al-Odaysseh with a drone and shelled an Israeli troop concentration at Khalat Raj in the town of Deir Siryan with artillery.

In contrast, the Israeli army admitted to detecting the downing of a suicide drone that originated from Lebanese territory and exploded in the Ras Naqoura area, causing injuries that were transferred to hospitals for treatment.

Ahl Egypt reported that Hezbollah said its operation at the Ras Naqoura military site was carried out precisely using a diving explosive loitering munition, resulting in direct and confirmed injuries among troops stationed inside the site.

The Misbar investigation, meanwhile, focused on a separate information dispute, finding that a circulated video claiming to show destruction from a recent Hezbollah strike in Israel was actually an old clip posted on April 15 and linked to a fire in Lucknow, India.

Shafaq News said the United States recently announced a 45-day extension of the ceasefire following talks in Washington between Lebanese and Israeli delegations, while Hezbollah refused direct negotiations between the two sides.

Misbar’s report described how the ongoing military escalation between Israel and Hezbollah began on March 2 and said some accounts recycled AI-generated or out-of-context footage to falsely connect it to current events.

In the same broader escalation, Hezbollah announced operations targeting Israeli military positions and troop concentrations across southern Lebanon, including strikes described as targeting the headquarters of the Israeli military’s 300th Brigade and the Liman barracks in the Upper Galilee using suicide drones.

Shafaq News also reported that Hezbollah issued eight statements Sunday claiming a series of operations, while the Israeli army disclosed wounded soldiers and rising fatalities since March 2.

With the ceasefire extended for 45 days and the conflict continuing, the sources portray both sides as maintaining pressure through drones, rockets, and artillery while disputes over battlefield claims and verification spread alongside the fighting.
