WAFA said colonists riding motorcycles attacked the home of citizen Bashir Qadous in southern Burin, severely beating his wife and daughter and causing them bruises.

WAFA also reported that the colonists smashed the windows of the house and opened fire on residents as they attempted to confront the attack.
In parallel coverage, Saba.ye said a Palestinian mother and her daughter were injured with bruises as a result of an attack by Zionist settlers on Burin, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, and said settlers fired bullets at residents as they tried to confront the assault.
Children blocked from school
Al Jazeera Net described recurring settler assaults in the West Bank that it said expanded to include children and schoolchildren, including cases in Khirba Umm al-Kheer south of Hebron and Mahmoud al-Ziban from the village of Burin south of Nablus.
The outlet said Israeli forces and settlers closed the road leading to the Um al-Kheer School, depriving children of access to their schools, and quoted student Yasser Ismail saying, “We found the settlers’ fence on this land, and I tried to go to the school but they stopped us and fired sound bombs at us, and we left.”
Al Jazeera Net also quoted Salem al-Hadhalin saying, “They threw a gas canister at us to scare us, and all the children were scared and fled.”
The same report said statistics from the Palestinian Committee to Resist the Wall and Settlements indicated that settlers carried out 497 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of 9 Palestinians and damage to property in March.
Escalation and accountability
Rai al-Youm said Israeli settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian villages in the West Bank on Wednesday evening, including setting land on fire and injuring Palestinians and a foreign activist, in tandem with an Israeli forces’ raid on the village.
“Almost identically, scenes of settler assaults in the West Bank recur, no longer limited to farmers and shepherds but expanding to include children and schoolchildren, with no guilt or justification”
The outlet said local sources told Anadolu that Israeli soldiers fired sound bombs and tear gas toward Palestinians who had come out to confront the settlers and attempt to extinguish the fire, with no injuries reported.
Rai al-Youm also cited official Palestinian figures saying that since October 2023, attacks by the Israeli army and settlers have left 1,155 Palestinians dead, about 11,750 others injured, and roughly 22,000 detainees.
In the same broader framing, Al Jazeera Net said the closed road was described as “the lifeline that students use daily to reach their schools,” and said the alternative routes offered by settlers were “very dangerous, long, and far.”
