Israeli Forces Raid and Arrest Civilians in Daraa and Quneitra Provinces

Israeli occupation forces intensified their incursions into southern Syria, penetrating deeper into Daraa and Quneitra provinces and conducting raids and arrests.

SANA reported that Israeli forces penetrated into Qudna and carried out a raid that resulted in the arrest of two citizens.

About 12 Israeli vehicles penetrated through the Tel Abu al-Ghaithar gate and raided the village of Hamata.

The incursions came after Israeli forces targeted the outskirts of the village Jumla with artillery shells.

For months now, Israeli forces have conducted almost daily raids and detained civilians including children and shepherds.

After the Assad regime was toppled, Israel announced the collapse of the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement and occupied the Syrian buffer zone.

Israeli forces shelled the western countryside of Daraa and the northern countryside of Quneitra with artillery shells, causing no casualties.

SANA reported that the Israeli occupation forces targeted the area between the villages of Abdine and Maariya with three artillery shells that fell on open ground.

In Quneitra, the occupation fired three artillery shells at agricultural lands on the outskirts of the town of Jubata al-Khashab.

The shelling came as Israeli tanks shelled the area surrounding the town of Jamla in Daraa province.

Israel has illegally occupied most of Syria's Golan Heights since 1967.

Syrians say the continued Israeli violations are undermining efforts to restore stability.

Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupying forces from its territory.
