Israeli Strike Kills Five Policemen at Police Position Near Sheikh Radwan in Northern Gaza

Five policemen were killed and several others were wounded in an Israeli strike on a police position near the Sheikh Radwan area of northern Gaza, Gaza's General Directorate of Police said on Saturday, according to Haaretz.

Haaretz reported there was no immediate comment from the Israeli military, while the Express Tribune said the same day also saw Israeli fire kill five Palestinians and injure five others in the Gaza Strip on Sunday amid daily violations of an ongoing ceasefire.

The Express Tribune said one Palestinian was killed by Israeli gunfire in the centre of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza and his body was transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City.

In central Gaza, the Express Tribune added that a couple and their child were killed and three others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The Express Tribune also cited Gaza’s Health Ministry reporting that FIVE Palestinians have been killed in the past 24 hours by Israeli forces.

Al Jazeera reported that an Israeli air raid on a home in Gaza killed three family members, including a six-month-old child, and said Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza received the bodies of a couple and their young child in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Al Jazeera identified those killed in the attack on an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp as Mohammad Abu Mallouh, his wife Alaa Zaqlan, and their child Osama, and said medical workers reported about 10 people were wounded.

TRT World said a pre-dawn Israeli air strike killed three members of a Palestinian family, including a one-year-old child, in central Gaza on Sunday, and that the hospital said around 10 people were wounded.

TRT World also said there was no immediate comment from the Israeli military, while Al Jazeera reported that Israel continues to violate the “ceasefire” brokered by the United States last year.

In the same reporting, Al Jazeera quoted Gaza health authorities saying Israel’s near-daily attacks since the “ceasefire” came into effect in October have killed nearly 900 people.

The Express Tribune said over 880 people have been killed and more than 2,645 others injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire was announced on Oct. 10, 2025, and it described the agreement as meant to halt Israel’s two-year war that killed more than 72,000 people.

Al Jazeera reported that talks between Israel and Hamas aimed at reaching a permanent end to the war have stalled, with both sides accusing each other of violating the ceasefire.

Al Jazeera said Israel says Hamas’s refusal to disarm is a key obstacle, while the Palestinian group says negotiations have been paused due to continued violations and restrictions on aid entering Gaza.

In a separate development, Al Jazeera said Human Rights Watch said the territory’s humanitarian infrastructure remained in peril, more than six months after the start of the ceasefire.

Noovo Info added that the second phase of the agreement is expected to present even greater challenges, including deployment of an international stabilization force, the establishment of a technocratic governing body for Gaza, the disarming of Hamas, and the continued withdrawal of Israeli troops from the territory.
