In southern Lebanon, Anadolu reported that three Lebanese nationals were killed in fresh Israeli air strikes on Nabatieh on Thursday despite a ceasefire still supposed to be in effect.

Anadolu said an Israeli airstrike targeted a pickup truck on the Habboush road near the vehicle registration office building in the Nabatieh district, killing two people, and that another drone strike killed one person near the Safa station on the Mifdoun road.

Paramedics hit, soldiers injured

In southern Lebanon, Palestine Chronicle said Israeli drone strikes targeted the vicinity of Sheikh Ragheb Harb Hospital and that ambulance crews rushed toward the area before Israeli forces targeted the vicinity again, wounding several paramedics affiliated with the Al-Risala Health Ambulance Association.

The same article said Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that one civilian was killed after an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle on the Mefdoun road in southern Lebanon.

On the Israeli side, ynetnews reported that Hezbollah explosive-laden first-person-view drones wounded seven IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, with one soldier seriously wounded and three lightly wounded overnight. ynetnews also said sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona over a suspected drone infiltration and that the military later said the air force intercepted a “suspicious aerial target” launched from Lebanon.

Ceasefire strain and mounting toll

Lebanon’s National News Agency figures cited by Anadolu and TRT World described continued strikes despite a ceasefire announced on April 17 and extended until May 17, with Anadolu saying the Israeli army continues daily strikes and widespread demolition of homes in dozens of villages.

The Israeli military said one soldier was wounded earlier on Wednesday “as a result of an explosive drone impact”

TRT World reported that Israeli drone and air strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon killed 16 people and wounded 21 others, including paramedics, and damaged a school, in the latest apparent violation of a ceasefire.

TRT World also said that since March 2, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed at least 2,704 people and wounded 8,311, and displaced more than 1.6 million, about one-fifth of the population, according to the latest official figures.

The BBC added that, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, the attacks have killed more than 120 people across the country in the past week alone, and that the ministry does not distinguish combatants from civilians.
