Israeli Strikes Kill Palestinian Student and Paramedic in Gaza City and Khan Younis

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) condemned ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza, saying recent strikes killed a student in Gaza City and a paramedic in Khan Younis.

The DFLP said targeting civilians and medical workers violates international humanitarian law and is intended to derail ongoing ceasefire efforts and negotiations in Cairo.

In Gaza City, Anadolu Ajansı said Israeli strikes killed a Palestinian student and a paramedic and wounded four others in the latest violation of a ceasefire in effect since last October.

Anadolu Ajansı reported the Palestinian Red Crescent transferred the body of a 17-year-old girl and three wounded people to its Al-Saraya Field Hospital after a strike hit a civilian vehicle in front of Al-Rahab Mall, west of Gaza City.

Anadolu Ajansı said the site was a busy and densely populated area as high school students were arriving to sit for their exams, and it described missiles hitting a civilian vehicle in the Rimal neighborhood.

Al-Jazeera Net said the medic Maysara Salah al-Khawaija was martyred and another person was seriously wounded after an Israeli drone struck a civilian vehicle in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis city.

Al-Jazeera Net identified the student as Raghd Hussein Ashour (17) and said Palestinian sources reported several rockets hit the vehicle and its surroundings on Ahmed Abdul Aziz Street in the Al-Rimal neighborhood.

On the broader toll, Anadolu Ajansı cited Gaza’s Health Ministry saying Israeli attacks have killed 1,021 Palestinians and injured 3,249 others since the ceasefire, while Al-Jazeera Net said Israel has killed 1,021 Palestinians and injured 3,249 others since the ceasefire took effect.

The DFLP warned that expanding Israeli control over Gaza could lead to forced displacement of Palestinians and urged the United Nations, the UN Security Council, and the International Criminal Court to take immediate action to stop the aggression.

It called for an immediate ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the opening of crossings, and unrestricted humanitarian aid access, framing those demands as protection for civilians and a way to hold Israeli leaders accountable.

Anadolu Ajansı reported that the attacks were the latest Israeli violation of the ceasefire agreement that took effect in Gaza on Oct. 10, 2025, and it said the strikes came as high school students were arriving for exams.

Al-Jazeera Net said the assault comes as part of the latest Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement announced for the Gaza Strip since October 10, 2025, and it reiterated that Israel destroyed about 90% of the Strip's infrastructure with the United Nations estimating reconstruction costs at about 70 billion dollars.
