The verdict, returned in the Southern District of New York, came after jurors deliberated for less than three days in some reports and follows a high‑profile prosecution in Manhattan federal court.

Prosecutors portrayed the brothers as using their wealth, prominence and access to glamorous social scenes—from New York parties and penthouses to the Hamptons, Aspen, Miami and even Tel Aviv—to lure, isolate, drug and sexually assault women over a period prosecutors described as spanning more than a decade.

About a dozen women testified in Manhattan that they were promised after‑parties or getaways, then were drugged or overpowered and assaulted.

Some accusers said they were rendered unconscious, and at least one said she was assaulted at 16.

Defense teams consistently argued the encounters were consensual and pointed to inconsistencies in accounts, absence of immediate reports or drug tests, and the absence of the particular commercial quid‑pro‑quo relationship prosecutors said was required for trafficking.

Some defense lawyers and reports acknowledged crude talk and unpleasant behavior by the brothers while maintaining that those actions did not prove criminal sex‑trafficking.

Prosecutors relied on witness testimony, expert testimony about sedatives and sexual-assault effects, and communications evidence.

The defendants' business ties and related civil litigation added layers to the case.

The brothers' names also appear in documents released under the DOJ's Jeffrey Epstein files disclosure.
