“A young man, 36, from Shaqib al-Salam, a Bedouin town and a local council in the Southern District of Israel, was killed on Sunday night after being stabbed in a crime that took place in Ofakim city, in the Negev, Wafa news agency reported”

The latest fatality was 36-year-old Mar'i al-Dayari who was stabbed in Ofakim city, in the Negev.

Since the start of April, three people have been killed.

2025 saw a record 252 Palestinians killed amid accusations of police neglect.

Palestinians in Israel accuse the police and government of discriminating against them.

The killings occurred against a backdrop of growing tensions between the Israeli government and the Palestinian minority.

The office of Prime Minister Bennett assured the community that increased police presence was being deployed.
