Widespread Damage and Casualties
The Russian air raids on Kyiv began early on April 16 and caused widespread damage.
Rescue teams pulled a mother and child from the rubble of a residential building that collapsed in Kyiv's Podilsky district.

At least 45 people were injured in Kyiv alone, including emergency workers.
In Dnipro, two people were killed and 27 injured.
The Black Sea port city of Odesa was badly hit, with eight people reported killed.

Zelenskyy and International Response
The bombardment came after Zelenskyy's trip to Germany, Norway and Italy.
