A martyr and an injured person in Gaza in an Israeli strike, and the arrest of 16 women in the West Bank.

Today, a Palestinian was martyred and another injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a tent housing displaced people in the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, with a body and an injured person arriving at Nasser Hospital, according to Anadolu Agency citing medical sources.

The agency added that Israeli artillery shelled areas east of Gaza City, accompanied by heavy gunfire from vehicles stationed in the east, and Israeli naval vessels fired shells and machine guns toward the coast of Gaza City.

Despite a ceasefire in effect since October 10 of last year, Israeli attacks continued, with reports that 673 Palestinians have been martyred and 1,799 injured since the agreement went into effect.

Since October 2023 the aggression on the Gaza Strip has left more than 72,000 martyrs and about 172,000 wounded, in addition to enormous destruction of infrastructure and residential areas due to Israeli raids and violent offensives.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation carried out a campaign of arrests that included 16 Palestinian women during a raid operation in the city of Qalqilia, the center of Qalqilia Governorate, and several of its towns in the northern West Bank.

According to local sources for Anadolu Agency, most of the detainees are wives of released prisoners or detainees, in addition to mothers of martyrs, noting that the occupation conducted campaigns of arrests and raids and searches of homes in the city and the towns of Azun, Kafr Thulth, and Siniriya.

It noted that two women were released after their arrest and on-site questioning.

Palestinian reports say that attacks by the Israeli army and settlers in the West Bank have, in total, left 1,132 martyrs and about 11,700 wounded, in addition to the arrest of about 22,000 since October 2023.

The occupation and settlers continue to destroy and demolish Palestinian homes and displacement, with settlement expansion in the West Bank including Jerusalem.
