The Daily Beast described the clip released Wednesday in which Paltrow says, “Who decided mornings should be so early? Even my coffee needs a coffee,” as she wakes up and then runs in a park.

In the same campaign video, Paltrow tells a driver “Herzliya, Israel,” after he asks “New York?”
The Times of Israel said the video was filmed in New York by Tel Aviv agency WhyWorry, and it described the project as “51 Park,” a luxury residential development in Herzliya.
Backlash and Online Quotes
Distractify said the ad campaign went viral amid the war and that reactions were harsh on X, with one user writing “Gwynocide! So posh! She is also coming out with noise-cancelling headphones that filter out the screams of children,”.
Another X user replied, “The answer is simple. She supports genocide. F--k her. #GwynethIsGross.”

The Daily Beast also quoted a user on X saying, “While children are buried under rubble in Gaza, while Lebanese families flee Israeli airstrikes, while Gazans starve under total blockade, she is fronting an ad campaign for ’51 Park,’ a luxury apartment complex in Herzliya, Israel,”.
Alana Hadid, sister to Bella and Gigi Hadid, publicly slammed Paltrow on Instagram, writing “Dude the level of unhinged capitalism is f---ing astounding,” in the comments below the video.
Stakes for Brands and Public Image
The Daily Beast said the campaign was created by the Israeli creative agency Why Worry and that its founder, Gabi Attal, announced Paltrow’s participation with a statement beginning “To bring this architectural masterpiece to the Israeli audience, we needed a figure who effortlessly embodies international elegance, a premium lifestyle, and uncompromising quality.”
“Gwyneth Paltrow is Now Doing Ads For Luxury Apartments in Israel I miss the old days when Paltrow was just an actress who never knew which Marvel movie she was in and lived a life of Vinyasa and fast-casual quinoa bowls”
Distractify added that the ad was filmed in New York, not Israel, and that the controversy centered on promoting the development amid “the genocide.”
The Times of Israel framed Paltrow’s public profile by noting she previously expressed support for those taken hostage on October 7, 2023, by Hamas terrorists, and it identified her husband as Jewish TV producer Brad Falchuk.
In the same coverage, Al Jazeera’s Hala Al Shami said the ad’s virality reflected “Israel’s pattern of promoting real estate abroad,” as the segment ran under the headline “Gwyneth Paltrow’s Israeli real estate ad goes viral.”
