Hamas welcomes Oman's stance rejecting normalization with Israel.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said in a statement that it highly appreciates the position of the Sultanate of Oman, as expressed by Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, that his country 'will not enter into any process of normalization with the criminal Zionist entity.'

Hamas described the Sultanate's stance in its statement, issued Thursday, as 'honorable,' and said, 'We consider it an authentic position that reflects the Sultanate, government and people, awareness of the danger of engaging in normalization projects that aim to bypass the rights of our Palestinian people and the dominance of the Zionist entity over the region.'

The movement added, 'We renew our call to all states to cut relations with this rogue Zionist entity, the holder of aggressive and expansionist agendas in the region, and to activate all forms of support for our Palestinian people and their just national cause.'

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi had affirmed on Wednesday that his country 'will not normalize with Israel, and will not join the council of peace,' explaining that his country's position is firm regarding regional issues.

Al-Busaidi emphasized during a meeting with editors-in-chief of local newspapers that the current war aims to weaken Iran, reshape the region, promote the normalization file, and prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, predicting that the war will stop soon but stressing the need to prepare for the worst possibilities.

He pointed to a broader plan targeting the region, indicating that Iran is not the only target, and that 'many regional parties realize this, but they are betting that aligning with the United States may lead them to change their decisions and orientations.'
