The Israeli military said Hezbollah shot down an Israeli military drone after firing a surface-to-air missile at it, and it added that the incident was under investigation and that there was “no concern of an information leak.”

Shortly afterward, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for downing a Zik (Hermes 450) unmanned aerial vehicle in the Nabatieh area in southern Lebanon, according to ynetnews.

Earlier Thursday, ynetnews reported that “12 IDF soldiers were wounded when an explosive drone directly struck a vehicle in the Shomera area near the Lebanese border,” with two soldiers moderately wounded and the others sustaining light injuries.

The same report said troops from the Hasmonean Brigade assisted in evacuating the wounded, while Lebanese reports described Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon including airstrikes, artillery fire and drone strikes targeting several villages.
