Sanctions and double standards
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said a US federal judge’s decision blocking Washington’s sanctions against Francesca Albanese exposed “US double standards on human rights.”
“In this article, Moroccan journalist Hisham Tasmart examines the question of empathy toward Iran within the context of ongoing regional conflicts, and the sharp divisions in positions within the Arab public opinion”
Gharibabadi said the “same double standard” has “held international justice hostage to Washington’s political interests for years,” in a Farsi-language post on his X account on Saturday.

He argued that the United States “resorts to sanctions, threats, and intimidation whenever accountability is demanded” from the Israeli regime or its allies for crimes committed against Palestinians in Gaza.
Gharibabadi said imposing sanctions on Albanese—described as an Italian official of the UN—showed “the true face of US human rights policy,” which he said was “human rights for enemies, impunity for allies.”
Judiciary spokesman on Gaza
Asghar Jahangir, the judiciary’s spokesperson, said Western double standards “have revealed the true essence of American 'human rights'” and that “The enemy's collar will not be loosened until the final punishment.”
Jahangir said the enemy attempted to display its hollow power through media offensives during the “12-day war of aggression,” but that “with the strong presence of the Iranian people on the field, the enemy was defeated once again.”

He said the judiciary’s red line is “the fight against corruption,” and that it will “fight corruption decisively and in line with the Leader’s commands.”
Jahangir also said the United States threatens to sanction the International Criminal Court and sanctions the Hague judges for issuing a ruling against the genocide of the Zionist regime, adding that this shows what American human rights actually mean.
Taliban accuses fear
Nadamuhammad Nadim, the Taliban government’s Minister of Higher Education, said the United States’ “double standards in dealing with Iran stem from fear.”
“Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has reacted to a recent decision by a US federal judge blocking Washington’s sanctions against Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, saying the decision has exposed US double standards on human rights”
In a meeting with a group of professors from private universities in Kabul, Nadim said the United States wants Iran to reduce the range of its missiles to a level that does not reach the Israeli regime while allowing the Zionists to target Iran.
He said that if Iran stops the rioters, the United States calls it a human rights violation, but “it violently suppresses peaceful protests on its own soil,” which he said “shows a kind of fear.”
Nadim added that the United States is seeking to prevent Iran's influence in other countries and has stationed forces around Iran, with American soldiers “now stationed in the maritime domain or on the soil of Islamic countries.”
