Rocket Barrages in Nahariya
Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the settlement of Nahariya with a rocket barrage in a sequence of statements that began on Thursday, April 16, 2026 and continued into the night, according to Yemeni News Agency (Saba) and Al-Manar TV Lebanon.
Saba said that in statement No. (43) the fighters targeted at 21:30 on Thursday, April 16, 2026, the settlement of Nahariya with a rocket barrage, and in statement No. (45) they targeted at 22:15 on Thursday, April 16, 2026, the settlement of Nahariya with a rocket barrage.

Saba further reported that in statement No. (47) the fighters targeted at 22:15 on Thursday, April 16, 2026, the settlement of Nahariya with a rocket barrage, and in statement No. (48) they targeted at 23:00 on Thursday, April 16, 2026, gatherings of Israeli enemy army vehicles and soldiers south of the city of Al-Khiyam with a rocket barrage.
Al-Manar TV Lebanon’s live feed also carried the headline “Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the settlement of Nahariya with a rocket barrage: statement 45,” tying the Nahariya barrage to “statement 45.”
The same Saba report placed the Nahariya barrage alongside other targets in the same timeframe, including the Ras Naqoura site with a swarm of dive drones in statement No. (44) at 21:45 on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
In addition to the Nahariya barrage, Saba described a broader pattern of attacks across Lebanon’s border region and occupied areas, framing the operations as part of the battle of “Al-Asf Al-Ma'kul” (The Devouring Storm).
Escalation Timeline and Targets
The reports describe a sustained escalation that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon linked to Israeli actions and to a ceasefire violation, while also detailing a dense timeline of strikes across multiple locations.
Saba said the resistance announced “the bombardment of settlements and positions of the Zionist enemy in the occupied south and occupied Palestinian territories,” and it said the operations came “in defense of Lebanon and its people” and “in response to the enemy's violation of the ceasefire agreement.”

Saba added that the resistance committed to the ceasefire “while the enemy did not,” and it stressed that “this response will continue until the Israeli-American aggression against our country and our people stops.”
In the same Saba account, the resistance listed statement No. (34) targeting the settlement of Ya'ara at 17:30 on Thursday, April 16, 2026, and statement No. (35) targeting the Naval Officers' School in the Gulf of Akka at 17:40 on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
The report then moved to statement No. (36), which said fighters targeted at 18:30 on Thursday, April 16, 2026, “the Liman barracks north of the settlement of Nahariya with a rocket barrage and a swarm of dive drones.”
Saba also described a sequence of anti-armor and drone strikes, including statement No. (37) targeting “a Merkava tank in the town of Al-Bayyada with a guided missile, achieving a confirmed hit, and it was seen burning.”
Hezbollah’s Rocket and Drone Claims
Other outlets framed the same northern front as a continuing series of rocket and drone attacks, describing specific towns and times in Lebanon and in occupied Palestine.
Safir TV channel said that “From Metulla to Nahariya, still under the fire of Hezbollah’s wrath,” and it reported that “Islamic resistance fighters fired rockets at the towns of Metula, Kfar Giladi, and Kiryat Shmona at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.”
Safir TV added that “At 08:30 this morning, the settlements of Doviu Shlomi, Metsova Yara Afdon, Kfar Faradim Nahariya and Shavi Tzion were targeted,” and it said “Also at 08:55 AM, the town of Kiryat Shemona was targeted by a rocket attack for the second time.”
In a separate Saba report, the Islamic Resistance described an attack on the headquarters of a Zionist division and two rocket salvo strikes, saying in statement No. 19 that at “11:50 a.m. today, Monday, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance carried out an aerial attack on the headquarters of the 146th Division in Ja'atoun, east of Nahariya, with a swarm of attack drones.”
That same Saba report said that in statement No. 20 the fighters targeted at “08:55 today, Monday, the Al-Abbad site opposite the border town of Houla with a rocket salvo,” and in statement No. 21 they targeted “the Al-Manara site opposite the border town of Houla with a rocket salvo.”
26 September Net described the northern front of the occupied Palestinian territories as witnessing “an unprecedented escalation,” and it said that “sirens sounding in Haifa, Nahariya, and Kiryat Shmona” followed dense rocket barrages launched from Lebanon.
Precision Strikes and Sirens
The sources also describe repeated warnings and precision strikes aimed at northern Israeli areas, including Haifa and naval installations, alongside claims of repelling attempted advances.
Islam Times said that “At 12:00 noon today, Sunday, the Islamic Resistance targeted the Haifa Naval Base in the occupied city of Haifa with a salvo of precision missiles,” and it said that “as part of the warning the Resistance issued to Nahariya in northern occupied Palestine, it targeted Nahariya a second time at 12:10 a.m. today with a swarm of kamikaze drones.”

It further stated that “The Resistance had previously announced targeting the city of Nahariya in northern occupied Palestine at 8:40 a.m. today with a swarm of kamikaze drones,” and it added that “It also targeted Nahariya at 1:30 a.m. this morning with a salvo of missiles.”
Islam Times reported that it targeted “the city of Kiryat Shmona in northern occupied Palestine with a swarm of kamikaze drones at 6:30 a.m.” and that it “shelled a gathering of soldiers of the Israeli Army at the Malikiyah site opposite the town of Aytron with a salvo of missiles.”
The same report said the resistance announced that its fighters had been “repelling since 3:00 a.m. a new attempt by occupation forces to advance toward the border town of Aytron,” and it claimed that fighters targeted “a gathering of occupation soldiers at the Malikiyah site opposite the town of Aytron with a guided missile, causing confirmed injuries.”
It also stated that “sirens sounded in several areas in northern occupied Palestine, including the Western Galilee and Nahariya and its surroundings,” and it said “there were reports of sirens also in the city of Haifa.”
Operational Claims and Casualty Tally
The sources also present longer-form claims about the “Devoured Squall” and “Devoured Whirlwind,” describing operational patterns, alleged strikes on bases and infrastructure, and a casualty tally attributed to Israeli acknowledgement.
“Beirut – Saba: The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon targeted today, Monday, the headquarters of a Zionist military division with a swarm of attack drones, and two military sites of the Israeli army with a rocket salvo”
وكالة وطن للأنباء said that “The battle of 'the Devoured Squall' launched by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon on March 2 continues,” and it described the campaign as “breaking the will of the Zionist enemy” through “concentrated rocket fire and a crushing aerial assault.”

It said the resistance opened with “a precise strike on a center gathering soldiers and vehicles of the army of disruption at the hill of 'al-Sadr' in Ainata with a tightly aimed rocket salvo,” and it added that it targeted “a Merkava tank in the town of Hula with a guided missile, causing it to burn completely and sending columns of smoke.”
The same report claimed that “the drone force carried out an attack with a squadron of dive-bombing drones on the 'Liman' outpost north of the Nahariya settlement,” and it said the resistance later directed “a rocket strike targeting the vicinity of a helicopter pad the enemy established in the town of Maroun al-Ras to evacuate its wounded.”
It also reported a “Black Friday for the occupation army” and said that “the mujahideen carried out 48 diverse military operations,” culminating in a raid near “the Liberation Triangle.”
In a separate section, the report said that “In response, the Israeli army formally acknowledged the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of another in the southern battles,” and it added that “raising the tally of killed and wounded recorded at the start of April to 309 officers and soldiers.”
