Lebanon toll climbs
The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2 rose to 4,247, with 12,195 injured, according to the Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health in a statement carried by Qatar news agency QNA.
“A senior Hezbollah lawmaker has strongly rejected a US-mediated framework agreement between Israel and the Lebanese government, describing it as a "humiliation," a "disgrace," and a virtual surrender of Lebanese sovereignty”
QNA said the cumulative toll increased after new Israeli attacks that caused deaths and injuries, and it cited a sound bomb thrown by the Israeli occupation army at the town of Burj Qalawiya in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon that injured two citizens.

Shafaq News reported that Israeli forces carried out fresh strikes and military operations across southern Lebanon on Sunday despite a US-mediated framework agreement outlining a phased Israeli withdrawal from the area.
Shafaq News said a drone strike in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa and another in Froun, plus sound bombs near a house in Baraachit and in Burj Qallawiyeh, wounded two people, while warplanes targeted the outskirts of Deir Seryan and Taybeh in Marjaayoun and troops in Khiam detonated explosives, burned homes, and advanced with military vehicles inside the town.
Framework rejected, fighting continues
Shafaq News said Lebanon’s two main Shia parties, Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, along with other groups and parliamentary blocs, rejected the trilateral framework, describing it as unbalanced and a threat to Lebanese sovereignty.
In a statement carried by PressTV, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem declared that the resistance group would treat the deal as “null and void,” describing it as “a surrender of sovereignty.”

PressTV quoted Hezbollah senior lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah warning of potential “internal conflict” in Lebanon over the agreement with Israel and predicting that the deal would never be implemented.
PressTV also said Fadlallah described the agreement as “a surrender document” that ignores the concept of an independent national state, and it added that Hezbollah would continue resistance, with Fadlallah saying, “Our finger will remain on the trigger.”
Casualties, displacement, and medical impact
The Sunday Guardian put the Lebanon death toll at 4,246 fatalities and 12,190 wounded since March 2, and it said around 4,246 individuals have been killed since early March 2026 while more than 1 million residents have been forced to flee their homes.
“US-Israel-Iran War Latest News:The death toll in Lebanon from ongoing Israeli attacks has risen to 4,246 fatalities, with 12,190 people wounded since March 2, 2026”
The Sunday Guardian also said at least 135 healthcare and emergency personnel have been killed, with 176 Israeli attacks recorded against ambulances and medical teams, and it described widespread strikes that destroyed dozens of buildings and forced multiple hospitals to shut down or reduce operations.
In a separate update, WAFA said the Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2 had risen to 4247, with 12195 others injured.
WAFA’s report framed the figures as cumulative since March 2 and tied them to the Lebanese ministry’s Emergency Operations Center, while the Sunday Guardian described the conflict as continuing despite diplomatic attempts to stabilize the region.
