The sources said Israeli soldiers raided a house in the Ras area of Beita, searched it, and ransacked its contents, while no arrests were reported.

In Tuqu', southeast of Bethlehem, Israeli forces and settlers isolated four Palestinian homes behind an iron gate, with Tuqu' Mayor Tayseer Abu Mufreh saying the gate was moved from the Ghazlan area to a site closer to residents' homes.
Abu Mufreh added that another iron gate in the Al-Bariya area was also moved near residents' homes, preventing residents from accessing their lands and shepherds from reaching grazing lands, as the campaign included closing some entrances with earth mounds.
In Ramallah, WAFA reported that settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles with stones on the road connecting Deir Dibwan and Rammun, east of Ramallah, with no reported injuries.
UN totals and hospital deaths
A UN Human Rights Office monthly bulletin released on 8 May 2026 said at least 122 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces and settlers across Gaza and the occupied West Bank in April 2026.
The bulletin documented that at least 111 Palestinians, including 18 children and seven women, were killed in Gaza in April by the Israeli military amid continued airstrikes, artillery and naval shelling, drone attacks and gunfire.

It said the Palestinian Ministry of Health recorded 824 Palestinians killed in Israeli military attacks in Gaza since the announcement of a ceasefire agreement.
The report also highlighted the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Mohamed Al Wishah on 8 April 2026 in a drone strike targeting his car near Al Nabulsi Junction in Gaza City, and said his death brought the number of journalists killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza to 295 since October 2023.
In the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the UN said Israeli security forces killed at least six Palestinians during raids, including 68-year-old Sabriya Amin Shamasneh who reportedly died following an assault by Israeli forces during a raid on her home in Jiyus on 7 April 2026.
Old City closure and garrison
As Israeli forces carried out a campaign of arrests and raids in the West Bank, the Jerusalem Old City was described as turned into a military garrison, with hundreds of soldiers deployed from the Wadi al-Joz area down to the Lions' Gate.
“According to the report, at least 111 Palestinians, including 18 children and seven women, were killed in Israeli military attacks across Gaza during April”
WAFA, quoting the Jerusalem Governorate, said Isha and Tarawih prayers were held in the streets in the Bab as-Sahra and Bab al-Amud areas amid a total and tight closure of the Old City, and that occupation forces surrounded worshippers at Bab as-Sahra and dispersed them.
The report said occupation authorities continued to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevent worshippers from reaching it for the seventeenth day in a row, and for the first time since 1967 barred worshippers from praying and staying for i’tikaf in the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It added that the Jerusalem Governorate warned of a dangerous rise in incitement rhetoric led by so-called Temple Mount extremist organizations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying what was happening could not be considered temporary security measures.
The same source said the toll of victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has risen to 72,247 martyrs and 171,878 injured, and that hospitals received in the past 24 hours 8 martyrs and 17 injured.
