Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinian Homes, Injure Four in Yatta, Damage Jibril Rumi’s Trees

Israeli occupation forces continued attacks and assaults against Palestinian citizens and their property in various areas of the West Bank and occupied Quds on Wednesday, according to وكالة سبأ.

In Yatta, south of Hebron, settlers carried out an attack on Palestinian homes and lands that left four Palestinians injured, bruised, and suffering tear gas inhalation, and the injured were transferred to Yatta Governmental Hospital.

The same report said settlers uprooted and damaged approximately 60 trees, including 40 olive trees and 20 forest trees belonging to citizen Jibril Rumi, and closed the road connecting Khallat al-Hummus and Wadi al-Rakhim.

In Ramallah, Zionist settler bulldozers began constructing two new settlement roads in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, with security sources telling WAFA that construction was underway on Palestinian-owned land in Kobar extending to Beitillu.

The WAFA-linked account also said settlers began constructing another settlement road on Palestinian-owned land in Wadi al-Shami, between the villages of Kharbatha Bani Harith and Deir Qaddis.

In the village of Burin, south of Nablus, Israeli settlers attacked a resident and his children and vandalized two vehicles, according to شبكة يافا الإخبارية.

Burin village council head Ibrahim Imran said settlers from the “Yitzhar” settlement raided the home of resident Hisham Zaben late last night and vandalized two vehicles inside his home courtyard.

Imran added that this morning settlers attacked resident Ayman Attallah Soufan and his children as they were leaving their home, using pepper spray, causing injuries that required their transfer to Ibn Sina emergency center in Huwara.

The same day, İlke Haber Ajansı described an overnight attack on the Palestinian village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, in which settlers vandalized two civilian vehicles belonging to local residents.

Ilke Haber Ajansı reported that no injuries were reported, but the attack caused significant material damage after settlers infiltrated the village at dawn on Tuesday and deliberately damaged the vehicles before fleeing.

Beyond individual incidents, samanews.ps said Israeli occupation forces launched a wide campaign of raids and incursions in scattered areas of the occupied West Bank, with clashes and arrests targeting Palestinians and storming dozens of homes.

Addameer, the prisoners rights group, said that during the campaign the occupation forces arrested at least 16 Palestinians from the Bethlehem, Hebron, and Tubas governorates, with Bethlehem Governorate seeing the arrest of 9 citizens.

In the same report, settler groups attacked the village of Burqa east of Ramallah at dawn on Tuesday, smashing residents’ property and breaking two vehicles before withdrawing from the area.

samanews.ps also cited the Resistance Commission for the Wall and Settlements, saying it documented 1,659 attacks in the West Bank and Jerusalem during last May, including 1,108 attacks carried out by the Israeli army and 551 carried out by settlers.

WAFA separately reported that Israeli colonists vandalized a vehicle belonging to the Rashaydeh Village Council east of Bethlehem, with village council head Bakr Rashaydeh saying colonists stormed the village, attacked the council vehicle, smashed its front windshield, punctured its tires, and caused extensive damage.
