Jabees Peace Duo Under-Pillow Speaker Promises Soothing Soundscapes for Better Sleep
Key Takeaways
- Jabees Peace Duo is an ultra-thin under-pillow bone-conduction speaker delivering audio.
- Aims to help insomnia by providing sound without headphones, avoiding disturbance.
- Tech outlets covered it, framing as a sleep-accessory option.
Jabees Peace Duo debuts
Jabees’ Peace Duo Under-Pillow Speaker is described as an ultra-thin, bone-conduction device that slips under a pillow to transmit vibrations through the skull so only the user hears the sound.
“We've all done this in Spain”
TechCrunch says the Peace Duo is preloaded with a micro SD card containing four hours of soothing soundscapes, including gentle waves, light rain, rain with thunder, and soft wind.

The device is also said to connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth, while a single charge lasts up to ten nights of one-hour listening sessions, according to TechCrunch.
TechCrunch adds that the Peace Duo does not work well with thick memory foam pillows, and it notes that the company claims thinner memory foam pillows should work fine.
The Peace Duo is priced at $59.99 and comes in two colors, Sunrise Yellow and Mist Green, with personalization options including swapping magnetic snap-on frames and adding names, as described by TechCrunch.
Sleepbar and pillow-speaker market
El Español describes Sleepbar as a small speaker that passes audio through a pillow using bone-conduction technology, with users connecting it to an audio source via Bluetooth and placing it under the pillow.
The Sleepbar listing says it costs 59.00 euros, can be shipped to Spain, and uses a USB-C port for charging with a 14-day battery on a single charge.

El Español also states Sleepbar has a half-hour timer to shut off after that period and is compatible with platforms including Calm, Spotify or Apple Music.
Xataka frames pillow speakers as devices marketed for years to help users fall asleep, explaining that because they are close to the ear they offer an individual experience that theoretically prevents others from hearing what is played.
Xataka adds that basic pillow-speaker options are found in a price range starting at 8 euros, and it cites entry-level wired models such as the Goshyda, the Fonestar 3360, and the Roberts PillowTalk with a 3.5 mm connector.
Other sleep-audio approaches
Frandroid reports that Bose launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to develop the Bose Noise-Masking Sleepbuds, described as very small wireless earbuds worn at night to help users fall asleep without being awakened.
“Getting a good night's sleep isn't just a question of how long you sleep or the quality of your mattress”
Frandroid says the Sleepbuds do not use active noise cancellation, explaining that Bose mentions a 'masking' of noises and that the earbuds simply cover the sounds around the wearer.
The Indiegogo campaign is described as highlighting comfort, a two-night battery life on a single charge, and configuration from a mobile app, with Frandroid adding that the devices work even when the phone is off.
Ville de Paris’ guidance on mobile phone exposure recommends limiting exposure during sleep by avoiding sleeping with a phone nearby and notes that even in standby the phone regularly emits waves to signal the nearest relay.
Ville de Paris further advises activating airplane mode to prevent the phone from emitting any signal while allowing alarm programming, and it states that SAR values are listed in device specifications, including SAR below 2 W/kg for a phone in contact with the head or worn near the trunk.
