In the southern part of Tulkarm, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said two residents were shot by Israeli occupation forces at the Jabara checkpoint and that its crews treated two injuries by live bullets.

In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, the same report said two residents were injured and three others were detained during an attack carried out by settlers under the protection of the occupation forces.

The report also said occupation forces raided the home of Adel al-Hammamda in Khirbet Hawara, damaged its contents and assaulted members of his family, resulting in injuries to the citizen Walaa Ahmed Atiyat.

Testimonies and accusations

B'Tselem described an attack in the Khilat al-Humus area, southeast of Yatta town in the hills south of Hebron, where Warda Obaid (65) and her family were pelted with stones and then beaten by settlers armed with a baton with nails fixed in it and clubs.

B'Tselem said Warda Obaid was transported to Shahid Abu al-Hassan al-Qasim Hospital in Yatta and discharged that same night, after settlers stole a mobile phone belonging to one of the women.

In a separate account focused on Hebron’s Old City, Association France Palestine Solidarité wrote that settlers organize a tour of the Old City for newcomers every Saturday and that the Israeli occupation has paralyzed life in the historic heart of Hebron.

The same Association France Palestine Solidarité account said that “the settlers are about 600 living in the Old City, protected by more than 2,000 soldiers,” while “170,000 Palestinians” live in the area.

It also described how Palestinians of Tel Romeida must pass through an Israeli checkpoint that can be closed at any moment, and that this checkpoint can block the only remaining access to their neighborhood.

Injuries and raids

WAFA Agency reported that in Hebron, May 8, 2026, a Palestinian citizen and his child were injured on Friday evening after being attacked by Israeli colonists in the village of Ash Shuyukh, south of Hebron.

WAFA said sources reported that several colonists attacked a citizen and his child with sharp tools while they were on their land, causing head injuries, and that they were transferred to the hospital for treatment.

WAFA also said the colonists vandalized his vehicle by smashing its windows and inflicting severe damage.

In the earlier Saturday evening account, صدى البلد said occupation forces raided the home of Adel al-Hammamda in Khirbet Hawara and assaulted members of his family, resulting in injuries to Walaa Ahmed Atiyat.

Taken together, the two reports depict a pattern of attacks and raids across the Hebron area, including injuries to residents and damage to property.
