Trump rejects Iran response
President Donald Trump rejected Iran's response to a U.S. proposal for peace talks to end the war, as two ships were allowed to pass through the blockaded Strait of Hormuz.
“Toggle Play Iran won’t destroy its uranium, but may ‘give assurances on the use of nuclear facilities’ Iran may negotiate on how it uses nuclear facilities, but it will not destroy uranium or allow it to be moved overseas, senior researcher Sultan Al-Khulaifi says”
In a separate report, senior researcher Sultan Al-Khulaifi said Iran may negotiate on nuclear facilities, but it won't destroy uranium or allow it to be moved.

The same Trump rejection was reiterated in the report that also said Iran may negotiate on nuclear facilities, but it won't destroy uranium or allow it to be moved.
The dispute over talks and nuclear terms is unfolding alongside the Strait of Hormuz issue, with the reports tying Trump’s rejection to the passage of two ships through the blockaded strait.
Araghchi attacks NPT
Iran’s foreign minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi told the United Nations disarmament conference in Geneva that the U.S. attack has put the NPT into question and said countries that provided military and intelligence support were partners in the action.
In remarks delivered at the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva, Araghchi said the foreign minister emphasized that Iran's right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy is non-negotiable.

Araghchi argued that the United States’ unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA was a flagrant violation endorsed by the international community and said the decision imposed unjust economic and humanitarian consequences on the Iranian people.
He also warned that attacking safeguarded nuclear facilities is a war crime and carries risks of radioactive contamination, long-term environmental pollution, and cross-border repercussions for the entire region.
Macron backs talks
French President Emmanuel Macron said France will not embrace the idea of opening the Strait of Hormuz by force and insisted that a ceasefire and entering into serious negotiations with Iran are the only way to restore navigation and bolster stability.
“Samoana Matagi was one of the four participants in a study that tested the capabilities of a new bionic hand”
Macron told reporters in South Korea that verifying Iran's nuclear capabilities through the International Atomic Energy Agency rather than through military operations is the only solution to the current crisis.
He refused to comment on a possible ground operation that the United States wants to carry out in Iran, saying, "I will not comment on an operation decided by America and Israel; this is their war, not ours."
Macron also said the conflict has damaged Iranian nuclear facilities and warned that without international inspectors to audit and identify missing materials, "the discussion will not be serious".
