US Military Strikes Iranian Missile And Drone Sites After M/V Ever Lovely Drone Attack

The Independent reported that the US said Iran hit M/V Ever Lovely on Thursday with a one-way attack drone, and it said Donald Trump accused Tehran of a “foolish violation” of the ceasefire agreement.

CENTCOM said the strikes were a “powerful response” to Iran’s “dangerous behavior,” and it reported that US aircraft struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations and coastal radar sites.

CBS News said the US hit Iranian targets on Friday over Iran’s drone attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, calling it the first American strikes on Iran since the two countries agreed to extend an already “rickety ceasefire” last week.

The Independent also said UN shipping agency temporarily paused its scheme to evacuate hundreds of stranded ships and thousands of seafarers from the Gulf after the Taiwanese ship was damaged close to the Omani side of the waterway.

President Trump called Iran’s attack a “foolish violation” of the ceasefire, and CBS News said he was asked whether Iran would face consequences and replied, “You'll find out,” while also saying “We knocked down three of them.”
