Draft text and co-sponsors

Al Jazeera quoted diplomatic sources as saying that 95 UN member states have so far indicated their intention to co-sponsor the amended draft resolution.

According to the sources, limited amendments were made to the draft resolution, consisting of minor wording changes without affecting its substance.

Gulf states report interceptions

In Qatar, the Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that the country was subjected to an Iranian attack with five ballistic missiles, and the armed forces were able to intercept them all without any reported casualties.

In Kuwait, the Kuwaiti army confirmed it detected five hostile drones since dawn Tuesday, saying four were destroyed while the fifth fell outside the danger zone.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense later reported the destruction of two ballistic missiles and seven drones in the past 24 hours.

In Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced the interception and destruction of five drones east of Al-Kharj governorate, and also confirmed the interception and destruction of two drones in the Rub' al Khali area that were headed toward the Al-Shaibah oil field.

In the UAE, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defenses are dealing with missile attacks and drones coming from Iran, and also confirmed that the air defenses engaged a salvo of ballistic missiles coming from Iran, asserting they intercepted and repelled the attack.

The ministry said in a statement that "since the start of the Iranian attacks, the UAE detected 262 ballistic missiles, 241 of which were destroyed, 19 fell into the sea, and 2 on the country's territory, in addition to intercepting 1,385 drones out of 1,475 detected, and destroying 8 cruise missiles."

In Bahrain, the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announced the interception and destruction of 106 missiles and 176 drones since the start of the Iranian attacks.
