Raeisi anniversary message
Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message marking the second anniversary of the martyrdom of former President Ebrahim Raeisi, praising his sense of responsibility, attention to justice, active diplomacy, and closeness to the people.
“Commemorating Martyrs of Service, mainly ex-Iranian President Ayatollah Ebrahim Raeisi, is a reminder of the martyrdom of the many esteemed martyrs who served the Islamic Republic of Iran; ranging from martyr Morteza Motahhari and Beheshti, Rajaei and Bahonar, to Ebrahim Raeisi, former Friday prayers Leader of East Azarbaijan Province Ayatollah Al-e Hashem, former Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and former Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani, hundreds of prominent and educated figures of the School of late Founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RA) and Leader of the Islamic revolution martyr Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who took giant strides in promoting the sublime values of the Islamic Revolution, the Leader emphasized”
The message, released by the Leader's office on Wednesday, paid tribute to the martyrs of the April flight, saying they are "a reminder of the martyrdom of a multitude of servant-martyrs in the Islamic Republic of Iran".

The same message recalled that in the 2024 helicopter crash, Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, the Leader's representative in East Azarbaijan Province, and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's foreign minister, were killed alongside President Raeisi when their helicopter went down in mountainous terrain near Varzaqan in northwestern Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei warned that "Now, we stand before the epic-making feats of the Iranian nation in their unique historical resistance against the two global terrorist armies," in an apparent reference to the United States and Israel.
The message said the blessing of Iran's national unity demands that officials redouble efforts to resolve the public's economic concerns and make direct and on-the-ground appearances.
Strait of Hormuz transit
The IRGC Navy said on Wednesday that a total of 26 ships had passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours under its coordination with the Iranian Army.
In its statement, the IRGC Navy said the ships included "oil tankers, container ships, and other commercial vessels" and that all passages took place in coordination with the IRGC Navy after ships obtained permits from the force.

The Press TV report said the passage of 26 ships marked a major increase compared to transit rates in the Strait since the beginning of US-Israeli aggression against Iran in late February, which prompted Iranian military forces to take control of the waterway and impose restrictions on shipping through it.
Press TV added that Iran said after a ceasefire was announced to halt the aggression on April 8 that it would continue to control transit via the Strait of Hormuz by banning or restricting adversarial ships and charging tolls on others seeking safe passage.
The report also said Iran indicated it would be ready to reopen the Strait as part of a deal that ensures the permanent end of the US-Israeli aggression and lifts all sanctions and blockades on the country.
Threats and policy focus
The message from Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei said Iran continues to face heightened threats from the United States and Israel, following their unprovoked terrorist strikes in late February and ongoing threats of renewed aggression.
“Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a message marking the second anniversary of the martyrdom of former President Ebrahim Raeisi praising his sense of responsibility, attention to justice, active diplomacy, and particularly his closeness to the people”
The Leader's office said the unfinished presidential term of Ebrahim Raeisi provided a measure of effort and compassion for the nation and the country while maintaining its independence, and it tied that to a heavier burden of duty on officials.
In the same framing, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "This matter makes the weight of duty upon the officials of the Islamic Republic from the leadership and heads of the branches of government down to all levels of management heavier than ever before."
The message also called for increasing motivation and intensifying diligent service by addressing the people's problems and concerns, particularly in the areas of economics and livelihood, through a widespread, direct presence.
It further stated that the government and all institutions of the Islamic Republic should define a serious role for the Iranian people in the country's progress toward a bright future.
