Crowley defeats Hong
David Crowley, the Milwaukee county executive, won the Wisconsin Democratic primary for governor, defeating democratic socialist Francesca Hong in a race that set up a November contest against Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, who is endorsed by President Donald Trump.

The Los Angeles Times quoted University of Wisconsin-Madison professor Barry Burden saying, “With Crowley, he has a more conciliatory approach ... that probably sits better with the average independent voter or moderate in the state who’s just looking to get some problems addressed.”
