In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump wrote, "During her visit I urged Darline, for the good of our nation, to run for the U.S. Senate in the Republican Party’s Special Primary on Tuesday, August 11, 2026," praising her visit to the Oval Office earlier this week.

Trump added, "I hope Darline does this, for there will be no one better to crown the legacy of her beloved brother Lindsey," and said she "will never let you down" in the South Carolina U.S. Senate Special Election.
The article says Darline Graham was brought to the Senate on Tuesday to fulfill the remainder of her brother’s term after his death over the weekend, and that his death triggers the launch of a sprint primary to replace him on the November ballot.
Valar Atomics $6B
Valar Atomics is in talks to raise fresh capital at a $6 billion valuation, with Sequoia Capital expected to lead the deal, according to three sources familiar with the company.
TechCrunch reports the El Segundo, California startup is raising a $1 billion equity round, and that Valar has raised $450 million—$340 million in equity and $110 million in debt—at a $2 billion valuation, per a Bloomberg report in March.

The TechCrunch account also says Valar counts Palmer Luckey, the Anduril founder, and Shyam Sankar, Palantir’s chief technology officer, among its backers, and that Sequoia and Valar Atomics declined to comment.
In parallel, the Tech Buzz says the potential deal underscores Silicon Valley’s renewed appetite for climate tech infrastructure and that the round would mark one of the largest bets yet on next-generation nuclear technology at a $6 billion valuation.
Polymarket’s $2B bet
Polymarket faces dispute risk with a $2 billion FDV bet on USD.AI’s token launch, with a market centered on the fully diluted valuation of $CHIP pulling in over $5.5 million in total trading volume since opening around March 2026.

Crypto Briefing says the core question is whether the project will hit a $2 billion FDV when its token launches on April 21, 2026, and that the crowd’s early answer is a fairly emphatic no.
The article states that more than $314,000 flowed specifically into the $2 billion outcome bucket, and that Polymarket’s resolution criteria calculate the FDV using circulating supply multiplied by price at 4:00 PM ET on the day after the token’s public launch.
It also notes that if $CHIP never launches before December 31, 2026, the market simply doesn’t resolve, and that Polymarket hosts similar FDV prediction markets for other token launches including GRVT and MegaETH.
