“We are faced with a combination of aggression and terrorism. They are killing our elites and the leaders of the country, and this is unprecedented,” Baghaei underlined.

He continued, “The killing must end. They have killed many people across the country. Therefore, you cannot expect a country that is defending itself against this brutal aggression to show restraint toward those who have no limits in targeting our country.”

Baghaei stressed that “showing an olive branch to those who are trying to behead us is not realistic.”

Referring to the martyrdom of more than 170 people in a girls’ school in Minab in the early days of the war, most of them children, he noted, “We did not start this war.

We are not the ones who initiated the attacks, but we did not carry out retaliatory attacks against their schools and hospitals.

According to the spokesperson for Iran’s diplomatic apparatus, it is the United States and the Israeli regime that must be held responsible for all the costs, casualties, and conflicts in the region.

Baghaei stated that no country would remain silent in the face of such brutal aggressions, and Iran is only defending itself.

In response to a question about the involvement of Iran’s neighbors in the war, he said, “There is no doubt for us that the Israeli regime seeks to ensure endless wars in the region.

They want this region to always remain insecure and unstable, without a doubt.

This is what they have been doing over the past decade and especially in the past two and a half years.”

The Iranian diplomat also referred to US attacks against Iran launched from the territory of neighboring countries and, stressing that “Iran is seriously dissatisfied with this issue,” said that this is contrary to international law and the principles of good neighborliness.

He stated, “Countries on the shores of the Persian Gulf should not allow the United States and the Israeli regime to use their airspace, assets, and bases for military aggression against Iran.”

In response to a question about the possibility of the United States entering a ground war with Iran, Baghaei said, “Iran is prepared for any scenario.

We do not welcome aggression and war, but we have shown that we are ready for anything.

This is our homeland.

We are a hospitable people, and therefore we will defend our land with all our strength and everything we have.”

He added, “The United States should look at the history of the Iranian people’s struggle against aggressors; it will see how we have dealt with those who invaded our country.”
