Hagmar Militia Members Storm Ibsiq, Beat David Schutz, Threaten To Burn Community

After blocking the road, the men burst into a cluster of houses, forced a Palestinian family to kneel, and warned they had 48 hours to evacuate Zone C and move to Zone B, adding that they would 'return and burn the community' if the family did not evacuate.

The masked aggressors were described as members of Hagmar, a settler reserve militia officially attached to the Israeli army and charged with the 'security' in the West Bank settlements, and the men dragged David Schutz behind a fence where four of them beat him until he had to be hospitalized.

Schutz said the raid led his host, Abu Safi, 84, to leave his home after the Hagmar raid, and that Abu Safi died shortly after of a heart attack.

The PRCS said its paramedics provided first aid treatment to a Palestinian who sustained a live gunshot injury in the thigh due to being shot by a colonist in the town.
