Lebanese Islamic Resistance Targets Israeli Vehicles, Tanks, Drones, and Warplane in Northern Front

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon said it carried out operations targeting gatherings and vehicles of the Israeli occupation army attempting to penetrate Lebanese territory and military sites in northern occupied Palestine, including the Kiryat Shmona settlement.

In al-Qouzah, the resistance said it confirmed direct hits on two Israeli Merkava tanks and added that a helicopter attempting to land to evacuate the injured was hit by an air defense missile, forcing it to retreat.

The resistance also said it intercepted an Israeli warplane on Tuesday as it attacked southern Lebanon with a surface-to-air missile, forcing it to retreat.

On the northern front, it said a gathering of Israeli army soldiers at the Shomera base was targeted by a swarm of attack drones, and it struck the occupation army’s Northern Command headquarters (Dado base) north of Safed with a rocket salvo.

Al-Quds News Agency said Hezbollah continued military operations along the southern border, with field data placing the start of operations at 2:00 a.m. with an attack on the Mutla outpost with a rocket salvo.

The same update described strikes at 2:50 a.m. on the al-Mutla site and at 4:30 a.m. on artillery positions near the Marj site opposite the town of Markaba, alongside a second attack on the Mutla outpost.

It then reported that at 6:00 a.m. a gathering of enemy vehicles and soldiers near the town of Taiba was hit with a precision-guided missile, and at 11:20 a.m. strikes on the Doviv and Avivim barracks came with rocket salvos and a swarm of attack drones.

In the evening, Al-Quds News Agency said an air defense system in Ma’alot Tarshiha was targeted at 18:15, followed at 18:20 by an air assault with a swarm of drones on an enemy gathering at the Guma intersection south of Kiryat Shmona, achieving direct hits.

The agency added that the resistance announced that yesterday, Sunday, at 17:30, it targeted the Zr’ait outpost with a rocket salvo.

A report by ٢٦ سبتمبر نت framed the Islamic Resistance’s actions as a ten-day period from Tuesday, March 17 to Thursday, March 26, 2026, saying the resistance issued 549 military statements during that span.

The same report claimed that in those ten days “Merkava tanks transformed from a symbol of Israeli military superiority into burning iron blocks” and asserted that the Iron Dome became “a system unable to intercept rockets and drones.”

It also stated that the numbers it presented included “75 destroyed Merkava tanks” and “more than 150 drone attacks,” and said rockets and drones crossed from Lebanon to the Gaza envelope at a distance exceeding 200 kilometers without interception.

The report further claimed that settlements in the Galilee, Kiryat Shmona, Nahariya, and Haifa “transformed from thriving cities into ghost towns,” and it described the operational tempo as rising from “30–40 operations per day” to “87 and then 94 operations in the last two days.”

In its concluding framing, ٢٦ سبتمبر نت said the implications were that the resistance had not collapsed and that it “remains as it was, perhaps stronger, capable of protecting Lebanon and deterring its enemy.”
