Eid violence and deaths
During Eid al-Adha, Israeli military actions continued across Gaza, and the Gaza Ministry of Health said that over the four-day holiday from May 27 to May 30, at least 33 Palestinians were killed and more than 130 were wounded despite a ceasefire covering the enclave.
Al Jazeera said that among the dead was Ahmad Ali Helles, 37, who was reportedly the sole surviving member of his immediate family and was killed in a drone strike on Shawa Square in Gaza City.

Al Jazeera also reported that Dr Jamal Abu Aoun, head of anesthesia at Yafa Hospital, was killed by Israeli forces near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah.
In a separate account focused on a specific strike, صحیفة الخليج said four Palestinians were killed and several others were injured when an Israeli bombing hit a gathering east of Gaza City, and it added that a young man with a disability was killed by a gunshot south of Khan Younis.
Reactions, accusations, and access
In Gaza City, survivors and medical officials described the impact of strikes during Eid, with صحیفة الخليج quoting Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal saying rescuers transported "four victims and a number of the injured" after an Israeli drone targeted a gathering in the area of Shawa Square in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
The same report cited Dr. Mohammed Abu Sulayma, the director-general of the Shifa Medical Complex, saying the bodies were "torn apart and burned" after the victims arrived at the hospital at dawn.

Al Jazeera linked the Eid violence to wider international fallout, noting that on May 28 several Israeli entities were added on the annual blacklist maintained by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres following credible suspicions of patterns of rape and conflict-related sexual violence.
In response, Al Jazeera said Israel responded by cutting ties with Guterres, while also describing Netanyahu’s public direction to expand Israel’s control of the Gaza Strip from approximately 60 to 70 percent in footage aired by Israel’s Channel 12.
Hospitals at risk and next moves
Beyond the immediate casualties, TRT عربي reported a health crisis threatening hospitals, saying that the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 33 Palestinians were martyred and more than 130 others were injured during the four days of Eid al-Adha.
TRT عربي added that al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah announced that the operating rooms have halted after four generators failed and cannot be repaired due to a shortage of spare parts, and it quoted hospital director Raed Hussein warning that the facility has entered a critical stage that could lead to a full shutdown of services.
In the same period, TRT عربي said the hospital serves about half a million residents and displaced people and has been operating at half capacity for more than a year, while Hussein urged relevant authorities to intervene urgently to provide additional power sources and bring in new generators.
Al Jazeera framed the political and military direction alongside the humanitarian strain, reporting that Netanyahu publicly directed the army to expand its control of the Gaza Strip from approximately 60 to 70 percent and that Hamas called the order a “dangerous escalation”.
