A force from the Israeli occupation army carried out a wide sweep operation inside the neighborhoods of the border town of Ain Arab in the Marjeyoun District, hours after it kidnapped seven people from the outskirts of the town.

The developments were described as coming amid ongoing tension along the southern border areas, in light of continuing Israeli military movements around a number of border towns.
The same report said the Israeli force continued the sweep operation inside Ain Arab’s neighborhoods at the time of writing.
Road reopened, new threats
The National News Agency reported that units of the Lebanese Army entered Ain Arab in the Marjayoun District and worked to open the road that Israeli forces had cut off with earth berms between Ain Arab and al-Mari, restoring traffic on that axis.
The agency also indicated the possibility that the Lebanese Army could enter the al-Wazzani area tomorrow as part of continuing its deployment and opening roads in the area.

In parallel, Lebanon Debate said an Israeli patrol, accompanied by a D9 bulldozer, entered Ain al-Arab one day after the Lebanese army reopened the road leading to it and some residents returned to their homes.
The patrol asked the town’s mukhtar to inform residents of the need to evacuate their homes before five o’clock this afternoon, threatening to demolish them if they did not comply.
Escalation and casualties
Lebanon Debate described ongoing Israeli violations in southern Lebanon, including air raids, direct strikes, and military movements in several border towns, resulting in two people killed and fires sparked in multiple areas.

The outlet said a drone targeted a car in the Doha of Kfar Remman area near al-Dibsha, resulting in two deaths after initial reports had indicated one martyr before the toll rose.
It also reported that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb toward a pickup truck, causing the driver to lose control and run over a child who was taken to Tebnine Government Hospital for treatment.
By contrast, the Lebanese army continued efforts to address remnants of the aggression, including a detonation of unexploded ordnance and undetonated munitions from Israeli airstrikes in the town of Al-Mansouri.
