In a separate report on settler attacks, the التلفزيون العربي said two Palestinians were injured, one of them severely, and a vehicle was set on fire in a series of attacks carried out by Israeli settlers in various areas of the occupied West Bank.

That same report said settlers stormed the Tel Ma'in archaeological area in the town of al-Karmel east of Yatta, heavily armed, and attacked farmers and livestock herders on their agricultural lands.

Injuries, Raids, Arrests

The التلفزيون العربي reported that a Palestinian man was injured in the Tel Ma'in area in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, after an attack by settlers.

It also said settlers beat farmer Mohammed Abdul Hamid al-Hammadeh while he was harvesting his crops, causing bruises, before they forced the farmers and herders to leave the lands.

In the north of Jericho, the report said a human rights organization reported that a man was seriously injured in the head after settlers attacked residents inside their homes near the town of Al-Auja, prompting his transfer to the hospital.

The report further said that in Nablus, Israeli occupation forces arrested three Palestinians, including two former prisoners, during a raid on the city and also conducted raids in the Al-Ayn refugee camp west of the city, arresting one of its residents.

Displacement and UN Warning

The التلفزيون العربي said the United Nations warned of worsening displacement conditions in the West Bank, where Deputy UN Spokesperson Farhan Haq said that about 40,000 Palestinians have been displaced since the start of 2025 due to Israeli military operations and escalating settler attacks.

It added that home demolitions in recent periods led to further waves of displacement, including dozens of families displaced during the first week of May, among them children.

The report stated that repeated settler assaults are often carried out under the protection of Israeli forces and that the UN added these attacks directly target Palestinians and their property.

It also said the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, has witnessed an escalation in Israeli military operations and settler attacks since October 2023, resulting in the killing of 1,155 Palestinians and injuries to about 11,750 others, in addition to the detention of around 22,000, according to official Palestinian figures.
