Ceasefire Violations in Tyre
Israeli strikes killed five people and injured 15 in southern Lebanon on Sunday, with the Lebanese Health Ministry saying the attacks targeted the towns of Tayr Falsayh in Tyre and Tair Debba in Tyre.
The ministry said a child was among three people killed in strikes targeting Tayr Falsayh, and it also reported that two more people, including a child, were killed and three others injured in attacks in Tair Debba.

In addition to casualties in Tyre, the Health Ministry said Israeli strikes injured two people in the town of Zrarieh in Sidon and two others in Jebchit in the Nabatieh district.
The Anadolu Ajansı report said the attacks were the latest violations of a fragile ceasefire announced on April 17 and later extended until the beginning of July, while it also cited Lebanese officials saying that since March 2 Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed nearly 3,000 people, injured more than 9,000, and displaced more than 1.6 million people.
Al Jazeera described the same period as a “New wave of Israeli strikes pound Lebanon despite ceasefire,” framing the strikes as occurring within a day of a ceasefire extension agreed for another 45 days.
Hezbollah’s Response and Claims
Al Jazeera reported that a Hezbollah leader told the network that "the resistance has the right to respond in kind to any freedom of movement or Israeli breach of the ceasefire."
In the same Al Jazeera account, the leader said "what the resistance is doing is a response to Israeli violations of the ceasefire," adding that resisting the occupation is a right guaranteed by international conventions.

The Anadolu Ajansı report placed the strikes within the context of a fragile ceasefire announced on April 17 and extended until the beginning of July, while it said the latest attacks came as Israeli airstrikes continued.
The Al Jazeera report also said the ceasefire extension was agreed for another 45 days, and it described Israeli air strikes across southern Lebanon as causing destruction and casualties.
Separately, the التلفزيون العربي report said the Lebanese Health Ministry announced five people were martyred, including two children, and 15 others were injured, including three children and a woman, in an unofficial toll from Israeli airstrikes on the south of the country.
Escalation and Wider Impact
L'Orient-Le Jour, citing officials cited by Axios, said Israel is preparing a large-scale ground invasion of Lebanon, with plans to greatly widen its ground operation and seize all territory south of the Litani River while dismantling Hezbollah's military infrastructure.
In the same account, a senior Israeli official told Axios, "We will do what we did in Gaza," referring to destruction of buildings that Israel accuses Hezbollah of using to store weapons and launch attacks.
The L'Orient-Le Jour report also said Axios cited Israeli and American officials in describing the operation as potentially the largest Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon since 2006, and it said such an operation could lead to a prolonged Israeli occupation of the south of the country.
Meanwhile, WAFA, citing the Lebanese Ministry of Health's Health Emergency Operations Center, said that from March 2 to 15 the Israeli aggression against Lebanon killed 850 people and wounded 2,105, including 107 children, and it added that 46 attacks against the health sector were recorded.
WAFA further reported that the attacks targeted the health sector, damaging 5 hospitals, 30 ambulances and 13 medical centers, and it said those attacks killed 32 healthcare workers and wounded 58.
