On July 2, Raja appeared in court and was taken to an LA County jail to serve 90 days, after a deal to only serve 3 months behind bars, with two years on formal probation and an order to pay $81,000 in restitution to Syko Stu, real name Stewart Smith.

Syko Stu said his injuries left him unable to work and described a recovery that included treatment for a severe traumatic brain injury, a shattered maxilla and a bone graft procedure, telling the court: "What happened affected me deeply and I do not minimize the seriousness of it."
In the same court appearance, Syko Stu said he held no grudges and added: "I hold no grudges against Mr. Jackson. People can make terrible decisions in difficult moments."
Assault at KnokX
The assault unfolded at KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles, where Raja Jackson entered the ring while streaming on Kick and repeatedly punched Syko Stu, with the incident described as a real attack rather than staged wrestling.
TheSportster said Raja Jackson’s trial ended with the MMA fighter going to prison, and it reported that prosecutors had pushed for maximums to be overlooked so he could be locked away for as much as seven years.

ActuMMA described the lead-up as a backstage altercation after Smith struck Raja Jackson with a can thinking he was another performer, and it said Raja then overstepped his role during the match by turning the confrontation into a real physical attack.
In the middle of the incident, VoxCatch reported that Syko Stu was KO'd in the ring and that Raja continued to punch him until several people intervened to stop him, while the show was live on the Kick platform.
Injuries, restitution, fallout
Syko Stu’s account of the harm included memory loss and reduced cognitive function, and the Dexerto report said the assault left him unable to work for nearly a year.

Dexerto also said Raja Jackson’s sentencing included two years on formal probation and restitution of $81,000 to Syko Stu, while it noted Raja’s attorney expected he would likely be released at his next hearing in late September.
TheSportster reported that Raja was charged with battery with bodily injury and one misdemeanor count of battery, and it said he pleaded not guilty to both before the trial ended in prison.
Meanwhile, ActuMMA and VoxCatch both described the case as involving serious injuries and an investigation opened after the live attack, with VoxCatch adding that police were called during a KnokX Pro Wrestling promotion show near Los Angeles after the assault.
