Regional and international condemnations continued on Friday after the bombing near the Palace of Justice in Damascus, with Lebanon describing it as “represents a new attempt to undermine security and stability in Syria during a critical phase of its recovery and resurgence after long years of suffering.”
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on X that the UAE expresses its severe denunciation of these terrorist acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing public safety.

In parallel, the European Union spokesperson Anwar Al-Anouni affirmed the EU’s unequivocal rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism and emphasized the continuation of cooperation with the Syrian government in confronting terrorist threats.
The UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed deep concern over the explosion and, through a spokesperson, urged accountability for those responsible while reaffirming that attacks targeting civilians are utterly unacceptable.

The Syrian Future Movement condemned the bombing in the Hejaz district of central Damascus on Thursday, July 2, 2026, saying it targeted a café near the Palace of Justice and resulted in the martyrdom of nine civilians and injuries to 22 others.
The movement also cited the Syrian Ministry of Justice describing the attack as a “cowardly crime that contradicts all human and moral values,” and it said these “criminal acts will not succeed in undermining security and stability.”
In its account of the aftermath, Al-Jazeera Net reported that the Interior Ministry announced the bombing targeting a cafe on Al-Nasr Street in Damascus occurred at 3:00 PM, near the Palace of Justice, about 70 meters to the west.
