The ninth day of the war: missile and drone attacks target four Gulf countries.

The states reported a mix of intercepted missiles and drones, damage to civilian infrastructure and some casualties.

Authorities in the affected countries described ongoing firefighting and security operations.

Qatar also reported missile and cruise-missile strikes launched from Iran and said its forces countered several incoming weapons.

The General Fire Force announced on X that two officers were killed while performing their duty, naming المقدم ركن عبد الله عماد الشراح and الرائد فهد عبد العزيز المجمد.

The force said no details were given about the circumstances of their deaths.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said it was dealing with hostile missile and drone attacks.

It said fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport were targeted by drones and the main building of the Public Institution for Social Security was struck, causing material damage.

KUNA reported fire teams extinguished the airport fuel-tank fire while efforts continued at the Social Security headquarters.

Later the Ministry of Defense said it had detected three hostile ballistic missiles that penetrated the country’s airspace and were intercepted and destroyed.

In Bahrain, the Interior Ministry said 'the Iranian aggression targeted one of the facilities near Salman Port'.

The ministry said sirens sounded and civilians were told to move to safe places, and that three people were injured.

It said a university building in Muharraq sustained material damage after rocket shrapnel fell.

The ministry also said a desalination plant suffered material damage following a drone attack.

The Bahrain Defense Force said its air defenses have intercepted and destroyed 95 missiles and 164 drones since the start of the Iranian aggression.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said it intercepted and destroyed 33 drones, including 24 in and east of Riyadh.

The ministry said it thwarted a drone attempt on the Diplomatic Quarter with no damage or injuries.

It said it intercepted a drone in the Empty Quarter that was headed for the Shaybah oil field.

The UAE said its air defenses detected 17 ballistic missiles and destroyed 12.

The UAE said one missile fell into the sea.

The UAE said it detected 117 drones and intercepted 113, with four falling inside the country.

It reported four dead (of Pakistani, Nepali and Bangladeshi nationalities) and 112 people with moderate and minor injuries.

The UAE said the sounds heard were from air defenses intercepting missiles and fighter jets engaging drones and cruise missiles.

Qatar’s Ministry of Defense said the country was attacked with 10 ballistic missiles and two cruise missiles launched from Iran.

It said Qatari forces countered six ballistic missiles, two fell into Qatar’s territorial waters, one fell in an uninhabited area with no recorded casualties, and the two cruise missiles were intercepted.
