Kuwait attacks and casualties

The General Fire Force announced on X that two officers were killed while performing their duty, naming المقدم ركن عبد الله عماد الشراح and الرائد فهد عبد العزيز المجمد.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said it was dealing with hostile missile and drone attacks.

It said fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport were targeted by drones and the main building of the Public Institution for Social Security was struck, causing material damage.

KUNA reported fire teams extinguished the airport fuel-tank fire while efforts continued at the Social Security headquarters.

Later the Ministry of Defense said it had detected three hostile ballistic missiles that penetrated the country’s airspace and were intercepted and destroyed.

Gulf air-defense reports

The ministry said sirens sounded and civilians were told to move to safe places, and that three people were injured.

It said a university building in Muharraq sustained material damage after rocket shrapnel fell.

The UAE said its air defenses detected 17 ballistic missiles and destroyed 12.

Qatar’s Ministry of Defense said the country was attacked with 10 ballistic missiles and two cruise missiles launched from Iran.

It said Qatari forces countered six ballistic missiles, two fell into Qatar’s territorial waters, one fell in an uninhabited area with no recorded casualties, and the two cruise missiles were intercepted.
