Warrant in Brampton shooting
Peel Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for 29-year-old Indian-origin Manpreet Singh, who has no fixed address, in connection with a deadly home invasion in Brampton.
Police say Singh is wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder with a firearm following a shooting on August 19, 2025.
Officers have warned that he may be armed and dangerous.
Shooting on Bayhampton Drive
Investigators allege two suspects entered a home on Bayhampton Drive, near Castlemore Road and Humberwest Parkway, and opened fire on two people inside.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second victim was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds and later released.
Police had earlier arrested a first suspect; in October, 24-year-old Dilpreet Singh of Brampton was charged with first-degree murder in relation to the same incident.
Second suspect details
Investigators say they have identified Manpreet Singh as the second suspect and obtained the Canada-wide arrest warrant.
Police describe him as five feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, straight black hair, brown eyes and a full beard.
They say he has a tattoo on his right forearm that reads "Manna Sukh" with a heart symbol between the two words.
Authorities have urged the public not to approach him: "Police say Singh may be armed and dangerous. If seen, call 911 immediately."
