John Kennedy, R-La., who was briefed yesterday by the head of Central Command, Adm. Brad Cooper, on Iran, reiterated today that he does not believe the country’s regime will make a deal with Trump, and he said the only option left for Trump is to determine whether to expand the conflict to obtain the rest of Iran’s nuclear materials. “I’m not sure that it will do any good in terms of destroying their weapons to do more bombing. We can destroy their civilian infrastructure, but I think the blockade is doing a pretty good job,” Kennedy said. “And the president’s got a very hard decision to make, and it really, really boils down to this: Is he going to send in troops or not? The Islamic Republic News Agency said explosions caused by projectiles occurred in Qeshm Island and Hana, areas described as military in nature, citing a source from the Hormozgan governorate.
