Iranian drones target Iraqi Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region Barzani's office, security chief's home

Iran fired two drones into the Kurdistan Region of Iraq on Monday, targeting the private office of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and a senior local security official, the region's Counter-Terrorism Service said. The two Hadid-110 explosives-laden drones were launched from the border area with Iran overnight, according to the service. The second drone struck the residence of the director of the Parastin intelligence agency in the Pirmam district of Erbil. "Following an investigation by the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Unit, my personal office and the home of the head of the Security and Intelligence Agency were targeted by Iranian drone attacks earlier today," Barzani wrote on X. "This is a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region. These attacks will not deter us from carrying out our duties and protecting our citizens." https://x.com/i/web/status/2089265230840779146 This post can't be displayed because social networks cookies have been deactivated.
