UK Lawyers for Israel has made or backed 34 complaints to regulators about charities and community groups since 2018. Where the outcome is known, the regulator found nothing against the charity in 11 cases out of 14. Twenty have no published outcome, and twelve of those went in one batch, against charities, most of them small, in a climate justice coalition that marched over the climate crisis and the genocide in Gaza.
Every complaint still has to be answered, often by volunteers. And UKLFI's legal threats work where its complaints fail. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital took down Gaza children's art "following a letter ... suggesting legal action from the UKLFI". Tower Hamlets announced it would remove Palestinian flags two days after a UKLFI letter said they were criminal offences.
In September 2026 UKLFI asked the Home Secretary to ban Médecins Sans Frontières as a terrorist group. Its two main examples were MSF workers killed by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, and its dossier lists MSF's medical supplies to Gaza's health ministry against it. Much of its evidence is the Israeli state's word: the dossier rests on staff "identified by the Israeli authorities".
