Jesus to Barcelona
Barcelona have agreed a deal in principle with Arsenal to sign Gabriel Jesus for £8.6m (€10m), with the Brazilian forward expected to travel to Spain to complete the move as soon as Monday.

Sky Sports said the clubs are working on the details of the transfer and that Arsenal have also agreed a deal worth around £7.7m to sell midfielder Fabio Vieira to Hamburg.
Vanguard News reported that Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with Arsenal to sign Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus in a late move before the close of the transfer window, with transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting a deal worth €10 million plus add-ons.
Vanguard News added that Jesus is reportedly expected to undergo a medical with Barcelona as the transfer moves closer to completion, while Sky Sports said the move could be completed after Jesus travels to Spain.
The Telegraph said Jesus is due to travel to Barcelona at the start of this week to complete a deal that will see him land an initial two-year contract with the La Liga champions.
Flick on recruitment
Ahead of Barcelona’s game against Rayo Vallecano, Hansi Flick said Barcelona are "on a good path at the moment" when it comes to his squad and the club’s recruitment policy.
Flick added, "Deco [football director] is working to strengthen the team," and said Barcelona do not have the pressure as Deco has "done until now a fantastic job."
Sky Sports also reported that the Jesus deal may not end Barcelona’s pursuit of Julian Alvarez, saying Sky Sports News was told the two pursuits are "completely separate."
The New York Times said Barcelona are closing in on the signing of striker Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal and described the proposed deal as "around €10million" while noting Barcelona view Jesus as a market opportunity.
The New York Times further reported that Atletico made it clear they do not wish to sell the Argentine forward to the Catalan club, and that in July Atletico reported Barcelona to the Spanish FA (RFEF) over their perceived improper pursuit of Alvarez.
Deadline pressure
Arsenal’s approach to moving Jesus is tied to the final stages of the window, with Sky Sports saying the Brazil striker could travel to Spain as soon as Monday and that the clubs are working on the details of the transfer.

Football London said Jesus is scheduled to undergo a medical on Monday ahead of making the move to Camp Nou, and it also quoted Atletico’s statement that "The members of Atletico Madrid’s Board of Directors have unanimously expressed their full support" for not negotiating the transfer of Julián Alvarez to FC Barcelona.
Read Arsenal reported that Fabrizio Romano said Barcelona have reached an agreement with Arsenal over a package worth €10million plus add-ons, and that Jesus is authorised by Arsenal to travel for his medical on Monday.
Sporting News said the Barcelona transfer market for 2026-2027 opened on 1 July in Spain, Italy and Germany and closed on 31 August, framing the club’s ongoing analysis of possible refuerzos, salidas y rumores.
The Telegraph said Barcelona have been assessing their options for a No 9 following the departure of Robert Lewandowski, and it noted that Hansi Flick wanted to bring Julián Alvarez to Camp Nou but Atlético Madrid are refusing to do business with their La Liga rivals.
