BDS National Committee Calls for Boycotts of Palantir Over Israel Gaza Genocide

The BDS National Committee (BNC) says ending “la complicidad de Estados, empresas e instituciones” with Israel’s “genocidio” in Gaza is the “forma más eficaz de solidaridad” and calls for “boicots estratégicos” focused on a smaller set of carefully selected companies.

The BNC argues that companies implicated in international crimes tied to Israel’s “ocupación ilegal” and “régimen de apartheid” must be held responsible, and it says “Las empresas, así como sus consejos de administración y las personas ejecutivas, pueden incurrir en responsabilidad penal”.

It points to legal developments including the 21 de noviembre de 2024 when the International Criminal Court (CPI) issued arrest orders for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant for “crímenes de guerra y crímenes de lesa humanidad” in Gaza.

The BNC also frames its campaign as a strategy to pressure firms through boycotts and divestment, saying “Convencer a las grandes empresas cómplices… a poner fin a su complicidad” sends a message that “¡su momento llegará, así que salgan antes de que sea demasiado tarde!”.

BDS-linked material targeting Palantir says the company’s “apoyo tecnológico e ideológico” to the Israeli army shows “su complicidad en el apartheid,los crímenes de guerra de Israel y el genocidio en Gaza”.

It quotes Palantir’s chief executive’s shareholder letter as saying Palantir is “una de las pocas empresas del mundo que ha manifestado su firme apoyo a Israel”.

The same text says Palantir promoted its technology in 2025 to “potenciar la superioridad obvia e innata de Occidente” and adds that its leaders openly claim the technology is used “en ocasiones, para matar”.

It also cites a July 2024 exchange in which Peter Thiel, cofounder of Palantir, said: “No estoy al tanto de todos los detalles de lo que está sucediendo en Israel, porque mi tendencia es apoyar a Israel.”

Al Jazeera and Statewatch data described in the report says public institutions in EU countries signed contracts with Israeli companies despite Israel’s “long track record of war crimes in the Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank”.

The dataset totals 194 contracts worth nearly 2.7 billion euros ($3.1bn) across a 42-month period, and it says the number of contracts grew after Israel launched its war on Gaza.

Al Jazeera reports that Spain agreed to 14 contracts worth almost 227 million euros ($257m) between January 2022 and July 2025, with 207 million euros ($235m) stemming from an April 2024 contract between the Spanish Defence Ministry and Rafael for “aerial combat systems”.

The report also quotes Yussef Al Tamimi saying the EU’s approach is “legally untenable” and that the ICJ “set out unambiguous obligations for all states to take measures that eliminate, alleviate and rectify the illegal occupation of Palestine,”.
