Stadium rules for ADNOC

Dubai Police is urging football fans to enjoy matches responsibly and follow stadium safety rules as the new ADNOC Pro League season gets underway on Friday. Dubai Police launched the latest edition of its annual "Your Commitment is Happiness" campaign to highlight fans’ responsibilities and promote a safe and positive matchday experience.

The campaign asks supporters to follow instructions when entering and leaving stadiums, remain in their designated seating areas, and avoid entering the pitch or restricted areas without permission. Dubai Police also warned that bringing dangerous or prohibited items, including fireworks, and displaying offensive or racist language or gestures are prohibited.

Penalties under UAE law

Dubai Police said violations of stadium rules can result in imprisonment and fines of up to AED 30,000, depending on the offence.

Emirates 24|7 reported that the initiative is tied to Federal Law No. 8 of 2014 concerning the Security of Sports Facilities and Events, with Dubai Police raising awareness of responsibilities under Chapters Four and Five.

The Emirates 24|7 account cited Article 17 of Federal Law No. 8 of 2014, saying spectators must not enter the field of play or restricted areas of a sporting event without authorisation.

Emirates 24|7 further stated that failure to comply can lead to imprisonment for a period of one to three months, a fine ranging from AED 5,000 to AED 30,000, or either penalty.
