New strikes and drone attacks
The United States began “a new wave of strikes against Iran for the sixth night in a row,” according to CENTCOM, as it said it aimed “to further degrade Iran's military capabilities” and rerouted three commercial ships attempting to breach the naval blockade.
“Iranian media—including state broadcaster IRIB and Mehr News Agency—reported that three people were killed and nine others were injured in a US attack on the bridges كهورستان and غريوه in Hormozgan province”
Iranian media reported that three people were killed and nine others were injured in a US attack on the bridges كهورستان and غريوه in Hormozgan province.

In response, Iranian army statements said it had targeted Bahrain with drone attacks in response to US strikes that hit bridges and infrastructure in several southern areas of Iran, while Kuwait and Bahrain announced that their air defenses intercepted drone attacks described as 'hostile' originating from Iran.
Al Jazeera correspondent Badawi reported sirens in Kuwait, as the Kuwaiti army confronted attacks by missiles and drones from 'hostile' sources, and the same report described casualties in Iran including two people injured by a US strike on a railway junction in Bandar Abbas.
The Al Jazeera report also said Iranian TV reported eight explosions near the village of Masen on Qeshm Island and six consecutive explosions in Al-Hamidiyah in Khuzestan province, alongside at least one American projectile striking Iranshahr Airport in Sistan and Baluchestan.
Trump’s threats and regional response
In a Fox News interview, Donald Trump warned, “Next week it gets really bad for them,” and said, “We’re going to knock out all their power plants. We’re going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate.”
The Daily News report said the escalation in rhetoric came as the US military carried out a seven-hour wave of strikes on Iran and resumed a blockade of its ports, with US Central Command saying it hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets near the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Trump’s blockade decision “has, in” the Daily News account, and the report also said Iran rejected Washington’s moves while insisting it remained in control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Kuwait’s military said it was intercepting Iranian attack drones, and Bahrain’s interior ministry urged citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place, while the Kuwaiti army said “Kuwaiti air defences are currently engaging hostile drone attacks following the nefarious Iranian aggression.”
The Daily News report also said the US commander of Centcom stated the US accused Iran of “intentionally targeted civilians” in the region by attacking seven commercial ships, resulting in “nearly a dozen civilian crew members killed, missing, or injured.”
Strikes on bases and the Strait
Iranian military statements described drone attacks on US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain as part of the tenth phase of Operation Lightning, saying radar and air-defense systems were targeted and that Arash drones hit the Patriot air-defense system and fuel depots at Ali Al-Salem Base in Kuwait.
“Drone campaigns by the Iranian Army against U”
The same Iranian account said communications and radar systems, including Hawk radars and Patriot systems at the Sheikh Isa defense site in Bahrain, were targeted by drone strikes, and it claimed the base “sustained serious damage” in successful drone and missile attacks by the Army and the IRGC.
In the Al-Jazeera Net report, US Central Command spokesman Tim Hawkinson told Al Jazeera that the United States is conducting strikes to reduce Tehran’s ability to attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that the strikes targeted Iranian missile and drone launch sites toward commercial ships.
The Al-Jazeera Net report also said Hawkinson described progress in removing mines planted by the Revolutionary Guard in the Strait of Hormuz and said American forces succeeded in opening passages in the Strait of Hormuz after clearing the mines, with navigation continuing.
Meanwhile, Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Abolfazl Shakarji stated, “the Strait of Hormuz lies within the sovereignty of Iran and Oman, and no one has the right to intervene there, especially the United States,” and he warned that any attack on Iranian infrastructure by Washington would make “all infrastructure in the region” a legitimate target for Tehran.
