“A Gaza hospital says that an Israeli strike killed eight police officers despite the ceasefire”
Later on Monday, local reports said an Israeli helicopter fired toward tents in the southern Gaza Strip, killing two people including a six-year-old girl and wounding 17 others in the Mawasi area, formerly known as the humanitarian zone.

The same Reuters report said Israel has killed 904 people in Gaza since the cease-fire and hostage release deal took effect on October 11, wounding a further 2,713 people.
In parallel, UN News said that on Tuesday again eight more Palestinians, including three children, died of hunger in the Gaza Strip, while Stéphane Dujarric told reporters in New York that the volume of aid and goods that can enter Gaza remains far below the vital needs of a starving population.
UN News also said that of about fifteen operations coordinated with Israeli authorities in Tel Aviv, more than half were completed, while others were canceled or delayed by the Israeli army.
Competing claims and voices
Ahraminfo reported that a Gaza hospital said an Israeli strike killed eight police officers despite the ceasefire, with Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah saying eight martyrs were admitted after an attack targeting a police vehicle in Al-Zawaida.
Le Figaro reported that the Interior Ministry in Gaza, under Hamas control, said the strike resulted in the deaths of nine officers and staff, and it quoted the ministry saying: "This attack resulted in the deaths of nine officers and staff."

Le Figaro also said Gaza Civil Defense reported four deaths in another Israeli bombardment, and it quoted Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem describing those deaths as "Four civilians, including a pregnant woman," killed in an Israeli bombardment on their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
In a separate thread of reporting, TF1 Info said the Civil Defense stated that three reporters were killed in an Israeli strike on Wednesday in the center of the Gaza Strip, and it identified one as a 34-year-old independent journalist who regularly contributed to AFP coverage.
TF1 Info added that the Israeli army said it struck three "suspects" operating a drone, and it said the AFP expressed its "deep sadness" while Hamas denounced a "war crime."
Humanitarian and political stakes
UN News said the humanitarian blockade has lasted more than five months, with the vast majority of food, medicines, shelters and hygiene supplies held by UNRWA remaining blocked by Israeli authorities outside Gaza.
“Israeli fire has killed five people in Gaza within the past 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry said Monday, adding that another died of wounds sustained earlier”
It also reported that at the Rantissi Children’s Hospital, one of Gaza’s five nutrition stabilization centers, since January more than 340 children have been admitted and about fifty died, almost all under five years old.
UN News said an Israeli-supplied water pipeline in southern Gaza has been out of service for almost a week, depriving thousands of people of drinking water, while shelter stocks are exhausted and the tents already worn will not withstand either winter or the next storm.
In parallel, Haaretz reported that aid organizations working in Gaza have warned of a deterioration in the humanitarian situation amid a lack of progress in implementing the cease-fire agreement, and it said Gazan health authorities estimate between six and 10 people a day die because they cannot be evacuated to hospitals outside of the enclave.
Haaretz also said the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories stated that approval was granted to bring in medical equipment for the Red Cross field hospital, including emergency equipment and generators for ongoing operation of the hospital.
