Israeli Airstrikes Kill Child and Another Palestinian in Gaza City’s Tel Al-Hawa

Israeli airstrikes hit the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City on Tuesday evening, killing two Palestinians including a child and injuring four others, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

WAFA said PRCS medics evacuated the bodies of two slain civilians and four casualties to al-Quds Hospital after two strikes, one near Barcelona Square and the other near the Gaza Governorate building.

The Palestine Chronicle reported that the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said the death toll from Israel’s war had risen to 73,102 Palestinians and that hospitals received the bodies of four Palestinians and treated 11 wounded over the previous 24 hours.

The same Palestine Chronicle account said that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,076 Palestinians, wounded 3,474 others, and 799 bodies have been recovered.

It added that an unknown number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble or in areas inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews, while nearly two million people have been forcibly displaced since the start of the war.

CNews said that on Saturday, December 13, Israel launched an airstrike in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City that killed four Palestinians in a vehicle, including a senior Hamas military official, according to Israel.

CNews reported that the Hamas denounced the strike as "a deliberate criminal violation of the ceasefire" and did not respond to Israeli claims that one of its officials had been targeted.

The Palestine Chronicle described the broader toll from Israel’s offensive, saying the Health Ministry in Gaza reported 173,581 others wounded since October 7, 2023 and that hospitals received the bodies of four Palestinians and treated 11 wounded over the previous 24 hours.

WAFA said that since the ceasefire agreement went into effect at noon on 10 October 2025, the occupation forces have killed 1,076 Palestinians and injured 3,474 others, and that the bodies of 799 Palestinians have been retrieved over the same period.

WAFA also said at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

It reported that the meeting was expected to include a Hamas delegation led by senior negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, along with other Palestinian factions such as Islamic Jihad and mediators from Egypt, Turkey and Qatar.

The same article said Hamas spokesman Taher al-Nono told that the movement is conducting intensive consultations with the mediators to ensure tangible results, and stressed that mediators must compel Israel to stop its assaults.

It also said Washington announced in January that the ceasefire had moved to the second phase based on a peace plan reached through American mediation, and that this phase calls for disarming Hamas and the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
